Select US properties are giving guests the ultimate souvenir
‘Tattourism’ is a thing now, don’t you know? Kimpton hotels stateside are offering customers the ultimate souvenir, a tattoo of their choosing, completely free of charge. The promotion is a partnership with Tiny Zaps, a contemporary tattoo studio specialising in minimalist designs. The hotel brand brings this unique experience to guests through a series of pop-up events across select properties across America.
Running from April to June 2025, the Kimpton x Tiny Zaps tattoo collection reflects the unique culture of each city. For instance, guests in New York can choose from motifs inspired by the Theatre District, while those in New Orleans can select designs nodding to the iconic Bourbon Street.
The concept taps into the growing trend of “tattourism,” where travellers commemorate their journeys with meaningful tattoos. This modern movement blends travel, self-expression, and storytelling, resonating particularly with Gen-Z and Millennial travellers who favour meaningful ink over traditional souvenirs.

Guests aged 18 and older have the opportunity to receive complimentary, exclusive inked designs as a personal, artistic way to remember their trips. Each flash tattoo takes around 10-30 minutes to complete, and tattoos can be given on arms and wrists, hands and fingers, upper arm and shoulder area, and lower legs and ankles.
