The best boutique hotels in Paris

1. Hotel Providence

Hotel Providence

Housed in an elegant townhouse built in 1854, Hotel Providence is a peek into the luxurious bohemian spirit of Paris. From the Pointe de Hongrie wooden floors and marble mosaics to the one-of-a-kind flea market finds lovingly handpicked by the design team, the richly textured pied-à-terre is a masterpiece by Pierre Moussié, his wife Elodie Moussié, and Sophie Richard.

There are only 18 bedrooms in Hotel Providence, each one individually decorated with vintage furniture, wallpapers emblazoned in zany patterns, designer fabrics (seen in the lead image), and modern essentials like an iMac TV and Wi-Fi. The best part of every gorgeous room? A fully-stocked cocktail bar means guests don’t have to step out the door for a delicious drink.

2. Le Bourg Tibourg

A walk around the Marais-based Le Bourg Tibourg boutique hotel in Paris is a feast for the eyes. Conceptualised by interior designer Jacques Garcia, the interiors are a vibrant mix of styles, from Classic French and Baroque to Neo-Gothic, giving the spaces a truly eclectic persona. While the collection of artistic enchantments dotted with genuine antiques amuses, there’s more to awe as one steps into the equally dreamy garden-courtyard, a creation of landscape designer Camille Muller

As expected, the rooms at Le Bourg Tibourg further showcase the delights of the hotel. Guests have a choice between abodes conceived by Jacques Garcia or Chartier Dalix. The former’s design aesthetics involve rich fabrics, motifs, and shapes in excess, mosaics in the bathrooms, and garnet lampshades. While Dalix’s creations follow a modern approach with white or wooden walls, stylish furniture, bay windows, and elemental touches that are more trendy than vintage.

The hotel’s facilities cover the basics, with housekeeping and concierge service present to make the stay memorable. For breakfast, you can head over to the saloon or take it easy and order it in-room for a lazy start to what is bound to be an eventful day.

Hotel Adèle & Jules

Hidden gems don’t get any better than this. One of the most romantic boutique hotels in Paris, Adèle & Jules covers two low-rise buildings, welcoming guests to appreciate the city’s serenity that exists on the fringes of its most popular attractions. Imagined by interior designer Stéphane Poux, the hotel and its chambers mimic the cosiness of a home without taking away the glamour and service one expects when staying in boutique accommodation.

The rooms come adorned in an array of colours, muted to keep the aura soothing. Accent walls, restful seating, and an overall plushness help give the space a more natural and inviting feel. Pick one of the rooms that opens onto a balcony for that extra bit of space and lovely views. However, no matter your choice, do expect top in-room amenities such as Bluetooth speakers, desks, Fragonard products, free WiFi, micro-filtered water, and en-suites.

A charming aspect of any stay at the Hotel Adèle & Jules is the closeness it instigates amongst the guests. The lounge with a book wall and bar and the fitness room are great places to meet others and compare notes while relishing the immaculate service of the owner-run property.

La Maison Favart takes plenty of inspiration from Opéra Comique, the historical Parisian theatre in the heart of the city that it overlooks. Once the home of the opera’s director and wife, Charles and Simone Favart, the hotel not only embodies its previous resident’s personalities but is also one of the longest-running establishments in the area, having started operation in the mid-1800s.

Pick any of the 39 rooms, and you’ll find it brimming with opulence, ranging from exotic wallpapers and comfortable bedding to marble shower rooms, mouldings, streaming TVs, gourmet minibars, and room service.

8. Hotel Maison Delano

Parisian vintage chic comes to mind when you enter Hotel Madison Delano, a beautiful getaway that occupies an 18th-century residence in the heart of the city. The 56-room Delano brand property might come across as more extensive than some of the other prominent boutique hotels in Paris, but rest assured it coddles you in comfort and secrecy, ensuring a sojourn that is both unique and convenient.

Enter your private guest room, and suddenly, one is transported to a world where elegance and design are the norm. Spacious and fitted with stylish comforts, the suites are, in particular, exquisite and grand thanks to their high ceilings, classic architecture, soaking tubs in en-suites, painted mouldings, living spaces, and city views. However, coffee machines, sound systems, air-conditioning, as well as bath and shower amenities are standard across all rooms.

For culinary enthusiasts, a meal at La Chambre Bleue, the courtyard-situated French-Andalusian restaurant under the tutelage of Chef Dani García, is an unmissable opportunity. When night falls, set aside a few moments to savour a signature cocktail and impromptu conversation at the hotel’s in-house Delano Bar.
