Some parts of London feel straight out of a movie, quiet streets lined with pretty townhouses, ivy climbing up the walls, and that unmistakable feeling of old London charm as you wander the city’s storied streets. Belgravia is one of them. Tucked into
this refined pocket of the city is The Hari London, a boutique hotel that feels less like a hotel and more like the stylish London home you wish you had. Having already stayed at and adored The Hari Hong Kong, we were excited to see what the London hotel had to offer.
While this stay was hosted, all thoughts and opinions are our own.

Setting the scene

The Garden Terrace is the perfect spot for drinks with friends
For travellers who want to slip into London life rather than skim its surface, The Hari delivers that rare blend of local warmth and elevated boutique luxury. The location is a total win, just a quick stroll from Knightsbridge, Sloane Square, and yes, even Buckingham Palace. Expect mornings spent walking past charming stores and cafés, and evenings ending with the kind of peaceful quiet you rarely find in central London.
With just 85 rooms and 14 suites, The Hari hits that sweet spot most luxury hotels miss. It feels cosy but not cramped, slick but never snooty. As soon as I arrived, I was welcomed like someone who pops by often, not just another guest rolling in with
a suitcase.
The room

Our Twin Premium room included a lovely banquette from which you could enjoy views over the garden below
My travel partner (Mum) and I settled into a Twin Premium room, a space that, at 30 sqm, isn’t expansive but felt instantly cosy, thoughtfully designed, and quietly luxurious. Two oversized single beds anchor the room, dressed in soft linens, and the
space has all the Hari signatures, including bespoke wooden furniture, plush fabrics, and a sleek marble bathroom with a rainforest shower and eco-friendly Jo Loves amenities.
Our favourite spot was the banquette by the window, perfect for reading a book with a cup of tea while enjoying the leafy views over Chesham Place Garden. The room was compact, stylish, and very comfortable; it’s exactly what you want for a London base.
Design

With design by Tara Bernerd & Partners, spaces feel warm, inviting, and thoughtfully curated
Designed by Tara Bernerd & Partners, the interiors channel understated glamour. Think tactile finishes, Arabescato marble, smoked glass, and newly refreshed pale wooden floors that brighten the rooms while preserving their residential charm. Soft neutral tones, upholstered headboards, and sheer curtains make the guest rooms feel soothing and inviting, the kind of space where you actually want to spend time, not just sleep.
Art is woven into the DNA of the hotel, from Tracey Emin pieces in the rooms to rotating works curated by A Space for Art in the public spaces. I particularly liked the curated library where guests are invited to both borrow and leave books. It’s a simple, thoughtful touch that adds warmth to the hotel’s cultural spirit.
Dining

Sample exquisite Italian fare at Il Pampero
The hotel’s culinary star is Il Pampero, a glamorous ode to Italian dining where Chef Angelo Albera brings authentic flavours to the heart of Belgravia. The design alone is a showstopper, expect Vespagreen lacquer, jewel-toned velvets, soft leathers, and circular booths. Breakfast here is a relaxed semibuffet affair featuring fresh pastries, fruit, and cold plates to graze on, paired with hot dishes made-to-order. My go-to quickly became the avocado toast crowned with silky poached eggs.
Elsewhere, The Hari Bar serves as a chic refuge for cocktails (don’t miss the signature Haritini), while the Garden Terrace stands out as one of Belgravia’s most unexpected and charming hidden gems.
