From Pillows Maurits at the Park in Amsterdam to Life House, South of Fifth in Miami, beautiful new hotels make us happy. Another spot to add to your list, Umiltà 36 has just opened its doors to guests in Rome, Italy. Blending classic refinement with contemporary hospitality, this new design darling from Shedir Collection is a must-stay.

Umiltà 36 has opened in Rome

Located in a heritage building which was restored to house Umilta 36 by CaberlonCaroppi Studio, this new hotel is just a few steps away from the Trevi Fountain. Inside, the original ceiling height has been retained as a feature element, alongside the Grand Hall where the original marble staircase invites guests to the upper floors alongside blue liberty wallpapers and Gio Ponti-inspired furniture.

What makes this hotel special?

Home to just 47 rooms, this boutique hotel has taken its design inspiration from the elegant 50s, blending minimalism with warm woods for an intimate feel throughout. The vibe is understated luxury here, with a fresh finish for the modern traveller.

Enjoy unobstructed views of the city from the rooftop lounge, take it easy with a good book at the literary cafe, or grab a bite at the Argentina restaurant: El Porteño.
