From Sapporo’s cultural heart to Seoul’s vibrant creative quarters, cocktail culture in Asia, and across the world, is getting a bold, artistic facelift, courtesy of a stylish trifecta that’s stirring up more than just spirits. Boutique hotel brand MGallery (under French hospitality brand Accor), known for its storytelling properties steeped in local character, has teamed up with French design powerhouse Maison Sarah Lavoine and craft distiller Citadelle Gin to present a drinking experience that’s as sensorial as it is sophisticated. The collaboration introduces an exclusive set of glassware paired with a trio of inventive cocktails to celebrate World Cocktail Months which runs until August 31, 2025 throughout all 120 MGallery properties around the world.

Crafted in collaboration

The heart of this collaboration lies in a shared commitment to character, curiosity, and creativity. Each element, from glass shape to gin recipe, has been designed to embody a philosophy of taste elevated through design.

Maison Sarah Lavoine’s artistic signature is unmistakable. Known for bold colors, graceful lines, and a chic aesthetic, the brand has crafted three stunning glasses specifically for the collaboration: an Old Fashioned tumbler and two coupes, each etched with MGallery’s geometric patterns and drenched in Maison Sarah Lavoine’s exclusive Pantone palette.

Their intention? To turn even the quietest nightcap into a visual and tactile experience, whether at a luxurious MGallery bar or in the comfort of home.

The cocktail trio

Of course, no masterpiece is complete without its muse. Enter Citadelle Gin, the world’s first craft gin, renowned for its purity and botanical nuance. For the launch, MGallery and Citadelle have created three showstopping cocktails designed specifically for the new glassware.

MGallery launched World Cocktail Months in signature flair with two glittering events in Japan and South Korea and we were there front and centre to experience the debut firsthand. As we sat at Hotel Sosei Sapporo – MGallery Collection’s cozy bar, drinks were mixed to perfection by guest mixologist, Mongkol “Lek” Saengchud from V Villas Phuket – MGallery Collection.

The three cocktails include, my favourite, the Crystal Diva, which features Citadelle Gin Original, fino Sherry, jasmine, lemongrass cordial, and orange blossom. Stirred and poured effortlessly in the Maison Sarah Lavoine Nick & Nora coupe, the cocktail is garnished with a white chocolate shard and a touch of jasmine and lemongrass – a nod to the classic Gimlet cocktail.

The Timeless Negroni combines sandalwood-infused Citadelle Gin Original, red vermouth, and Italian bitters infused with pineapple and pandan. Served in a Maison Sarah Lavoine Old Fashioned tumbler with a 5cm oval ice cube, it is garnished with pineapple and pandan leather.

Finally, the Honey 75 shakes things up with Citadelle Gin Original, fat-washed olive oil, salted honey, citrus and cardamom, all crowned with Pommery Champagne in a Maison Sarah Lavoine Coupe.

All three are also available as mocktails.

This collaboration transcends seasonal fanfare. It’s a tribute to travel, taste, and design; a reminder that sometimes, the perfect journey begins with just one glass. And for cocktail aficionados across Asia and beyond, it’s an invitation to sip, savour, and see the world a little differently.
