Amid ongoing travel restrictions, new hotel openings such as the Arca in Hong Kong, Josun Palace in Seoul, and The Spa at 45 Park Lane help us believe that travel is coming back. And one of the coolest design-led hotels to open of late is Bellyard, West Midtown Atlanta, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. Check it out below.

Now open: Bellyard, West Midtown Atlanta, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Nestled in The Interlock, Bellyard is home to 161 dreamy and contemporary guestrooms that draw inspiration from the history of West Midtown. Expect nods to stockyards and railyards here with thoughtful elements created by local artisans and designers here, including hand-woven rugs, and bespoke furniture. Little added extras such as window seats for comfy reading, folding writer’s desks, and mini bars stocked with local treats make Bellyard even more of a must-stay.

“Our vision for Bellyard is a destination that mirrors the soul and surroundings of Atlanta’s West Midtown neighbourhood, where both residents and travellers can create genuine connections,” said General Manager Brendan Abraham. “Bellyard embodies a refined, yet approachable escape that replicates the feeling of staying at a life-long friend’s home.”

Part of Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio, guests can fill up on modern spins on traditional Southern dishes at the American tavern-inspired eatery, Drawbar, helmed by Executive Chef Christina Wai. Word to the wise: a trip to the 24-hour gym (complete with Peloton bikes) may be needed afterwards. A rooftop bar, offering stunning views of Atlanta, is also slated for autumn of 2021.
