The list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024 was announced at a glittering awards ceremony in London on September 17th, with Capella Bangkok leapfrogging over Lake Como’s Passalacqua to claim the top spot.

The World’s 50 Best Hotels for 2024

Capella Bangkok opened in 2020 to soaring success. Overlooking Thailand’s majestic Chao Phraya River, it’s surrounded by lush gardens with grand dame elegance combined with the intimacy of a boutique hotel. Personal butlers cater to every guest’s needs.

Emma Sleight, Head of Content for The World’s 50 Best Hotels, says: “It gives us enormous pleasure to share the list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024 and to celebrate Capella Bangkok’s ranking as number 1. This extraordinary hotel is a rare oasis in the middle of Thailand’s bustling capital, offering world-class service while retaining the intimacy and personality of a boutique hotel – making it a worthy winner of the top prize.”
