Summertime in the Philippines may have unforgiving heat, but it’s undoubtedly the best time to hit the beach. With over 7,000 islands, there’s no shortage of stunning destinations to choose from – and the top choice, more often than not? Boracay Island.
For this holiday, we checked in at The Lind Boracay, located on the white beach in Station 1. We were picked up from the airport, driven to a private port, and took a boat from there to Station 3. Then, back on land, it was about another 30 minutes of driving all the way to the hotel.
While this stay was complimentary, all thoughts and opinions are our own.

A warm welcome

Upon arrival at The Lind Boracay, the team greeted me with warm smiles and whisked me straight to my room for the next few days. Thoughtful welcome gifts were laid out on the bed – a cap, t-shirt, and tote bag – all perfect for a stroll along the beach. After settling in, I noticed a handwritten welcome letter from the General Manager, which was such a lovely personal touch. Shortly after, there was a knock on the door: an afternoon tea delivery that I expected to be light, but turned out to be rather generous.
My well-appointed room

The Sea Room where I stayed is a spacious abode that features a king-sized bed, sofa, 32-inch LCD TV, and a work table. Travelling alone, the room felt wonderfully comfortable. Located on a higher floor, the view from the balcony offers memorable glimpses of Boracay’s picturesque seascape. Whether in the morning or afternoon, the balcony view gives you an undeniable sense of calm. The bathroom is equally impressive, stocked with biodegradable-packaged amenities and toiletries from Malin + Goetz.
Dining options

Buffet breakfast at Tartine. (Photo: The Lind Boracay)
Buffet breakfast at Tartine is the perfect way to fuel up before exploring Boracay. Located at beach level, it serves international flavours that range from the savoury tastes of Asia to continental classics. Guests can opt to stay in the air-conditioned space or step outside and enjoy their meal on the beachfront. I loved the station where you can make your own taho (silken tofu).

Lunch at Crust (Photo: Lord Acuña)
For lunch, try alfresco dining at Crust, a beachfront Mediterranean-inspired restaurant and bar. With its own rustic brick oven, it’s the ideal spot to savour pizza, pasta and fragrant roasted meats and seafood. The mortadella with whipped ricotta, lemon, chilli flakes, and pistachio pesto was the standout for me.

And for dinner, head to Yím on the lobby level that celebrates the rich, authentic flavours of Thailand. Led by Thai chef Siriporn “Joy” Krasae-at, it brings both everyday Thai cooking and professional kitchen experience to Boracay, while making the most of what local ingredients have to offer. You have to try the yum som-o goong – a shredded pomelo and prawn salad with coconut milk, crispy onion, cashews, coriander, and sweet tamarind sauce.
Rejuvenate at the spa
After a long day of activities, wind down at The Spa Wellness, the country’s leading wellness brand. Their partnership with The Lind Boracay brings signature massages and therapies thoughtfully curated for rejuvenation in a tropical setting. And if you’d rather receive a massage outside the facility, their therapists can also pamper you by the poolside or in the comfort of your own room. The massage was so relaxing that I dozed off during the session. When it was over, the spa rounded off the night with a delicious cup of ginger tea.

The verdict

During my four-day stay, it was apparent that The Lind Boracay is all about the guest experience. From the time of arrival, through every meal served, up until checkout, genuine Filipino hospitality is at the forefront. It may be a luxurious property in a prime location, but their true focus is on how every guest will enjoy their stay. They don’t try to impress, but rather deliver great service with an attention to detail that will surely leave a lasting mark on everyone who visits.
Would I return? Absolutely! But I’ll make sure to travel with friends or family next time to share the fun.
